At Barberhouse, we focus on two things:
Hair & Wardrobe
Whether you are looking to update your hair, your wardrobe, or both, each appointment begins with an in-depth consultation. Micah Holdaway (me! - owner/barber/stylist) is the only person operating out of the studio...and this is by design. Your appointment is personal and distraction-free, allowing Micah to focus all of his energy on your particular service.
Hair
Each hour-long appointment follows our 3-step process:
CONSULT / CUT / STYLE
The consultation begins with a real conversation about your hair: What do you love? What do you hate? Hair goals? Daily routine? etc.
Applying everything from the consultation, we wash and cut the hair with a keen sense of detail. The cut is finished when you are satisfied.
Finally, we style your hair to fit your specific lifestyle, while educating and equipping you to perform the same style each morning at home.
Wardrobe
Finding your style in 3 easy steps:
Let’s talk style / find the clothes / on-going advice
The problem with online style blogs is that they only give general advice for the stereotypical “dude”. YOU are an individual, and your preferences are unique.
During our wardrobe consultation, we talk about your routines, questions, and goals. Next, we create a plan to help you curate your own wardrobe. Still need help? Purchase a wardrobe package to have the clothing chosen for you. It really is that simple; we make clothing easy.

Centrally located in Midtown Kansas City, Barberhouse is nestled in the historic South Hyde Park neighborhood. Accessed through the basement entry of the owner's 100-year old home, the Barberhouse hair studio whispers a "speakeasy" vibe. All services are by appointment only, and there are no walk-ins available.
